The song Idhu varai from Goa is my current favourite number. I liked the song when the audio was released. It developed an interest in me as it was crooned by Andrea and Ajeesh, the winner of Airtel Super Singer ’09. I didnt like Andrea’s voice since it lacks the nativity and awful Tamil pronunciation. But after seeing the song in movie, I started loving it mainly for its situation and picturisation. Ajeesh was not my favourite when he was a participant in Airtel Super Singer as his voice sounded like Unnikrishnan. I liked Ravi’s voice and expected he would win the title. But it this song, Ajeesh has done a fabulous job. His rendition is excellent with a good feel. He sings high pitch at ease. Andrea’s way of singing suited to Pia’s character who’s a rock singer in the movie. I was surprised that Gangai Amaran has penned the lyrics. Such a nice one which is blended with the story with a flow. I esp love the 2nd stanza both to hear and to watch. Yuvan rocks!!!
