Hey, dont get flabbergasted. It’s not a new contagious disease ala Swine Flu. It’s the lattest n hottest number from A.R.Rahman’s new Bollywood album “BLUE” starring Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Zayed Khan and Katrina Kaif in a cameo role. People are going ga-ga on hearing the sexy number “Chiggy Wiggy…” The video is being played round the clock in different channels. Many of my Hindi friends have this as Caller/Hello tunes. The album is so special since it’s ARR’s first album after his Twin Oscars. (Oh, this is my first post on the Music Genius in this blog.) The movie has one more USP apart from ARR. It’s the Australian Grammy Award Winning Singer Kylie Minogue. Apart from a singer, Kylie is an actress and a songwriter. No wonder she’s a Gemini.
Akki aka Akshay seems to be the luckiest actor i Bollywood. He shared screen space and lip space with Hollywood Hottie Denise Richards in his last film Kambhaqt Ishq and also with repeated smooches with Bollywood Bombshell Kareena. No it’s time to shake his legs and bums with Kylie Minogue. Lara too is too hot with a size zero figure competing with Bebo. The hottest female of the movie is Kylie and she is 40 years old young. Again a Gemini trait!
Regarding the other songs, the thing that made me ecstatic was, Shreya Ghoshal has sung 3 songs in the album; Rehnuma with Sonu, Aaj dil gustakh hai with Sukhwinder and Fiqraana with Vijay Prakash. Shreya rocks in the in the first two songs with a sexy and erotic voice. Fiqraana is peppier but Vijay dominates and overshadows Shreya. Yaar Mila Tha is a decent romantic number by Udit and Madhusree. The theme Music is too gud and a different attempt with many singers. Bhoola Tujhe is the a soft number sung by Rashid Ali. He lacks the magic that he created in Kabhi Kabhi Aditi from Jaane Tu ya Jaane Naa. The film was shot in Cruise, ship and underwater. The songs too have the feel of Water. In a nutshell, ARR Roxxxxxxxxxx!!!
P.S: One more album of ARR is released. PASSAGE: A short film by Shekhar Kapoor. Have to listen to it.
